Ongoing Tai chi and Chi Kung classes are taught at different London, UK, locations during the week by senior students who are now teachers.
Glyn teaches Intensive and Advanced classes at various Central London locations. He also teaches beginners and intermediate classes in Oxfordshire.
The Jun Chi Association's aim is to teach various health related arts as a way of improving people's quality of life.
The classes are taught in a traditional way, starting with Tai chi form practice. Once a firm foundation has been acquired other forms are added to develop more capacity and understanding, such as weapon forms and partner work.
Weapon forms are taught as ways of developing strength, stamina and endurance as well as developing the ability to project energy. They are a valuable part of the training process.
Partner work is incorporated into the training regime. It is an invaluable means of developing sensitivity as well as learning various martial applications of the techniques within that system. Practices like Tui Shou and Da Lu help develop flexibility and pliability as well as improving footwork.
All the teachers in the Association are certified and also qualified as instructors by the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain.
Some of the teachers specialise in teaching older people, while others work with special needs, such as stroke rehabilitation or recovery from injury.
All the teachers are dedicated to helping their students realise their individual potential as well as improve their health and wellbeing.
